Indexing – Archiving

Indexing of scientific journals is the process of registering and cataloging scientific publications in databases that facilitate the search, access, and evaluation of these materials. It is an important element that provides scientists, students, and other interested parties with easy access to current research and allows for greater visibility of articles. Indexing is also crucial for assessing the quality of journals and individual publications.
"Filologia Polska” is indexed in a number of services and with a number of organizations (see list below).

We also provide metadata in various formats for archives and repositories and offer an OAI interface supporting OAI-PMH for metadata harvesting (Formaty metadanych, np. OAI-PMH JATS).

1. Indexing Databases
The journal is indexed and listed in a range of academic databases, bibliographic directories, and scholarly discovery services. These platforms increase the visibility, accessibility, and discoverability of published articles, helping researchers, librarians, and readers find and access the journal’s content. Inclusion in indexing services also supports the dissemination of research and facilitates the integration of journal metadata into academic search and information systems (DOAJ·ERIH PLUS ·EBSCO).

2. Repositories and Scholarly Discovery Services
The journal’s content is made accessible through repositories and scholarly discovery services that facilitate the preservation, dissemination, and retrieval of academic publications. These platforms help researchers, librarians, and readers discover published articles, access bibliographic information, and locate scholarly resources. By improving the visibility and accessibility of research outputs, repositories and discovery services support the wider dissemination of knowledge and the long-term availability of the journal’s content (Biblioteka Nauki · BASE · CORE · CEJSH).

3. Citation and Metadata Services
The journal uses citation and metadata services to improve the accuracy, consistency, and discoverability of its published content. These services facilitate the exchange of bibliographic information, support citation tracking, and help integrate article metadata into academic databases and research platforms. By making publication details more accessible and machine-readable, they contribute to the visibility of scholarly work, support proper attribution, and enable researchers to locate, reference, and connect related publications (Crossref · Google Scholar · WorldCat).

4. Journal Evaluation and Other Directories
The journal is listed in journal evaluation platforms, academic directories, and other scholarly information services that provide information about its scope, publication practices, and academic profile. These resources help researchers, librarians, and institutions identify and assess scholarly journals, while improving the journal’s visibility and accessibility within the academic community. Inclusion in relevant directories supports the dissemination of information about the journal and helps readers discover its publications and editorial information (Index Copernicus).
