“Filologia Polska” in Brief
In general terms, the annual journal is the successor (as reflected, among others, in the title of the journal) to two former publication series issued by the academic center in Zielona Góra: initially, “Filologia Polska” of the Higher School of Pedagogy (vols. 1–10, published in 1975–1999), followed by “Filologia Polska” of the University of Zielona Góra (vols. 1–5, published in 2003–2013). Nearly 200 scholarly articles have been published in the periodical (since 2015), averaging 18 articles per issue, a trend further confirmed by the forthcoming volume currently in preparation. Institutional affiliation proportions are strictly maintained for individual volumes (i.e., fewer than 75% of the authors originate from the institution publishing the title). Four issues of “Filologia Polska” were published under the auspices of or in cooperation with external bodies: twice with the Adam Mickiewicz Literary Society (in 2016 and 2025, issues 2 and 11), with the Wisława Szymborska Foundation (in 2023, issue 9), and with the National Museum in Prague, Czech Republic (in 2024, issue 10). From its inception, the annual journal has been developed in cooperation with the University of Zielona Góra Press, which ensures high editorial standards for the undertaking.
The journal’s website, in addition to a structured metadata architecture (conforming to established online journal standards), provides information regarding the authors’ ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) and their institutional affiliations, also utilizing ROR (Research Organization Registry). Furthermore, through the use of APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), it enables the immediate verification of sources cited within the bibliography, via Google Scholar or the DOI Foundation.
“Filologia Polska. Roczniki Naukowe Uniwersytetu Zielonogórskiego” appeared for the first time on the ministerial list of scholarly journals in 2023 with an assigned score (20). Disciplinary classification (PBN/Arianta): linguistics, Polish studies; (DOAJ): literature, linguistics, culture, literary theory, education; (ROAD): linguistics and literature (philology, language); (ICI): literary studies, linguistics, literary theory, religious studies; (EZB): linguistics, literature, Polish studies; editorial declaration in this regard: Polish studies, literature, language, culture and religious studies.
